Hi Simon,

We have a lot of knowledgeable people here who would certainly help you out with IDing parts of your new guitar. Unfortunately, I don't think most people are comfortable downloading your picture album as we just don't know what could be hiding in there!

If you added the photos to your post then you'll get a lot more help. I have edited and pasted a guide below from another forum, the exact same process works here:

Adding pictures to your post is easy. All the photos that you see are hosted somewhere else - you don't actually upload photos to the site. There are a number of websites that do a better job of allowing you to manage your photos, albums, etc., and they are designed to work with forums like ours. The most popular are:
http://imgbb.com/
http://imgur.com/
http://photobucket.com/
http://www.flickr.com/
http://imageshack.us/

Once you upload your photos, they give you a link to your pictures which you can use on the forum or on your website, etc. The link looks something like the below and are usually called something like direct link or similar.

you can insert images into your post using the Insert Image button or just cutting and pasting the link from photobucket/flickr into your message. The magic is in the tags that you put around the link to the image. This tag causes your image to be displayed on the forum if used correctly.

Lovely guitar Simon!!

Curiosity got the best of me and I downloaded the pics. It looks pretty much as you've been told: A sweet early 66 refin with the changed parts you mentioned, plus the bridge which looks like a newer mustang bridge. I can see at the neck heel probably it had some kind of repair at the binding (or it is degrading a bit). Also, by looking at the back of the headstock I say probably the back of the neck has been refinished as well. Some paint on the shielding show that the guitar was refinished at some point in surf greenish.

How does it play and sound? Those wide necks are to die for (I have a late 65 and it's my favorite guitar). Congrats!
