Teisco NB-4

Probably not a popular bass around here.. But certainly my cup of tea.

Never seen one of those before! What's that weird hook-like thing on the bridge beneath the A string? Looks like it could have been for a foam mute, but I don't get why it's just under one string.
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

Not sure, maybe a clip for the bridge cover?

They originally came with tailpiece covers that were screwed onto that protrusion.

So, the original colour is green btw, not gray even though it looks to be so.

That’s sick.
I have a less spacey cousin of that that’s light as a feather. Many thumps and bumps.

Based on my limited Teisco experience, my guess is that this neck is most likely a baseball bat..

Every time I see one of these basses, I think of this.

NICE, I bought this one cheap about 8 years ago with many issues to solve. It's never made it to the top of the repair list, but I did string it and it plays really well. I bet yours is great!
(and yes when I got it the neck was screwed on FROM THE FRONT)

Is that red, the original colour? Damn, looks like it needs some work, but it also shows a lot of potential.

Im sure someone here would love to restore, if you dont get to it..
