Neck Size B Jag in 1962 and 1963 necks

Post by Guitarman555 » Mon Aug 01, 2022 3:44 am

I am wondering, I saw 2 necks, first one from cca September 1962, another one from October 1963. The older one is 1mm wider both at the nut and also at the 12 fret position is 1 mm wider again. Can it happen that same B size Jag neck could be slightly different in width?

They were made by hand, so there's variation from one to the next. I've had an A neck that almost felt like a B neck, and one that felt like a ukulele.

I second this, same for the shape of the bodies!
