I got one of the Fender (American vintage or whatever it is) replacement JM arms for my old L-series, but it rattles. I’d like to get one for my L series Bass VI, too.
Is there a better arm to get that fits these old vibratos?
No, I’m not interested in replacing the whole vibrato system with a staytrem or the like.
TIA

The AV arm worked just fine for my 66. No rattles. Have you checked you trem unit out as a whole?

Put the short end of the arm in a vise and very gently put a slight bend in it. I find this sorts out most rattle issues. When you put it back in make sure the end of the arm snaps fully back into the collet.
