NGD (Returned...) Framus 12-string
So, I bought this. - tracking sez it will get here next week.
I've lusted after these every time I've seen one posted on here, and the price was good.
Listing description said only the following:
"Vintage Framus 12 String Electric Guitar.rare vintage guitar, great tone"
So I'll probably be begging for more details once it arrives to fill in the blanks.
I'll post some non-southwestern-themed photos when it gets here.

Re: NGD (on the way) Framus 12-string
Whoa. I have so many questions. Do you know if this has the spring-loaded volume swell? (I’m assuming that’s what the switch above the knobs is.)
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

I, too have questions. I've read of the "organ" feature on these- basically a pinky-operated volume modulator. So... I'm hoping yes?

You mean to tell me these features existed back then? Where are they today? That’s awesome!SignoftheDragon wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 4:10 pmI, too have questions. I've read of the "organ" feature on these- basically a pinky-operated volume modulator. So... I'm hoping yes?
That looks like it will always be one of the coolest guitars in the room no matter where it’s at.

Looks to be in really good condition and yes, that knob with the pinky hook should be for volume swells.
I always liked the look of that pick guard material. Much prefer it to most tort. You can’t complain about the amount of chrome either.

Aaaaah, ex-Forumite, theworkoffire (Ben) used to have a really nice old Klira offset with one of these spring-loaded levers. It's been so long, I'd forgotten if he ever worked out what it did. Maybe the same as this Framus?
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Awesome! I played the 6 string version of that at a Guitar Center in Boston once. It was a really cool guitar. The volume swell knob is wild.

Congrats. Looks so cool, kind of like a hybrid of a 60s offset and a Patent drawing.

Re: NGD (It's here!) Framus 12-string
Arrived yesterday - very... securely packaged. IN PANTS!
Looks great, though- has the requisite bumps & dings of a jussabout 60-year-old guitar. (I refuse to call it Mojo.)

So cool, congrats!!
Side note: When people string their guitars like that, with all the spaghetti hanging off the headstock, it triggers every bit of my OCD.

I can agree, it doesn't have any mojo. However, it is filled with M@J@ -- L@@K!
