Yeh, it popped up in my daily feed so I jumped to it. They were super helpful down at Willies and actually included free shipping to the UK - which was nice. Between that and the price differences on their own website/Reverb I got it for a pretty reasonable price (in today's market).

I'm interested to see what the shade of blue actually is in real life. It looks like it was done relatively well enough though - nice to see whoever painted it did it properly with an actual white undercoat etc. Proof will be in the pudding, as they say. I do love that level of wear and tear on an old guitar however

It'll be the IBM AV65 Jag and probably the recently upgraded '95 Shoreline MIJ Jag. Both of those will replace a big chunk of the cost of this one.

That's good to know. They certainly seemed like a nice bunch in the dialogue I had with them. I mean, most people are going to be when you're sending them several thousand dollars, but still

The only thing I will say is they could probably benefit from some better lighting for their photos. The ones on their website seemed pretty washed-out so I quickly threw on some levels-adjustment colour correction and got closer to the original images (that they obviously had to increase the brightness on)...



Now that's much more like LPB

Agreed. LPB has to be just right. When it yellows fully it can go an amazing OTM-esque shade too (like the John Frusciante Jaguar). When this lands and I do it's autopsy I'll be able to see if the refin was clearcoated at all and what the future might bring. There looks like there may be a little bit of green popping through in places but I'd hazard a guess that it wouldn't have seen a lot of sunshine in Minnesota
