ok. you've had a bad experience here. so let me ask a few questions.
1. do you like the guitar?
2. how much did you pay? that way you can maybe claw back some money for the market rate for a refin.
3. do you like the current refin?
honestly, it looks like a well done refin so i wouldn't bother returning it to it's original colour. if you like everything else about the guitar then it's no big deal.

1. The guitar is an absolute dream. Still cant believe I own it. So i'm not interested in selling it
2. I'd rather not say what I paid for it but it was a fair price and I didn't pay over current market value
3. I do like the refinish and I also like the fact that it was refinished over 50 years ago by the original owner and it has a great back story and history, maybe one day down the road I may consider taking it back to the original colour i.e. Blonde but for now the Olympic White looks great so I'll keep it that way

My Jazzmaster was refinished around 1979. I know that because it was done right before I bought it.
It was Olympic White but I realised it ias an ash body. So I got it refinished back to blonde.
Yes it's worth it - as it's ash, it's indisputable you're returning it to original condition. My refin was expensive (Clive Brown, the best). but I'm confident I'd get more uplift in the price than I paid. Not that I'm selling it.
Sorry, my picture hosting has failed but the guitar is in my profile pic.

Thanks Paul.
Sadly I cant really see much in your profile pic.
Can I ask what the refin actually cost?
