Another one on the way... '65 Jag content

Post by JSett » Wed Nov 10, 2021 9:09 am

So, I got caught up in a moment and, after having a brief chat to Rexter, I made the un-regrettable decision to agree a fantastic price on this '65 he's just restored - and sent the money before I gave myself a chance to second-guess the decision...

I think it's due to arrive Friday or Monday. Much Excite.

Jon definitely is a dab-hand in the spray booth, that's for sure. It looks extremely accurate to my eyes

Hah! I wish I had the money to keep them all but, alas, I'm trying to do a gradual 'trading up' situation. It's definitely a bit more hassle buying and selling over and over but it's more fun than just saving up :D

That's because it's just had a fresh burst and aging by Rexter. It had been refin'd before with some horrible poly burst so he stripped and restored it. And did a mighty fine job too.

Beautiful guitar
It must be an early β€˜65 to not have a bound neck?

Neck date is April 1965 so probably just before CBS started mixing things up.
