So nice to see all those pics of the black Jazzmaster. It's a stunner, for sure. And I have a similar pin somewhere, it has a heavy duty screw-on disc on the back. You're brave for putting it on the strap that close to the guitar finish.

My contribution to the armwear violates both the offset and vintage criteria, but at least it keeps the color + pg combo in the ballpark.

That's the one! That screw-on disk thing required a proper hole in the strap! Oh to be young and brave like that again!! :D

Your LP Special looks really cool! Never seen one like that before...very cool Fender vibe. 8)
Reminds me of my wooden-bodied Ampeg guitar!

I can't get over how cool this is. The pattern looks like sparks from a grinder and with the burst poking through. :-* :-* :-*

There's a "that's what she said" joke in there somewhere.

Checked my #1 for any sign of wear- 25+ years of insanity hasn't done much more than a scratch or two, and the slightest uncapturable-via-phone-camera wear in the clearcoat.

Image

Looking at my actual arm-wear though- I can see a bit of stage-earned relicing, although the callus has softened over the last year-and-a-half of pandemic-induced inactivity:

I sold it quite a while ago...it was a real cool guitar, but I was in my late 20s with unsteady work, so I sold it to pay bills and things. :(

I do miss having it...back then they didn't fetch all that much...I think I got just over £1k for it, if I remember correctly.

Most of my electrics are in pretty good nick and don't have armwear except for my 73/74 Jazz bass

This is my 64 refin Jag body with a Marr neck. The body's an old refin that someone played the snot out of for a long time. It's a great refin candidate if I ever get up the gumption to mess with it, but it's an absolutely amazing guitar, so I'm a little superstitious about fucking with a good thing. I'll likely just leave it alone.
