Reminds me of my wooden-bodied Ampeg guitar!zhivago wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:35 pmThat's the one! That screw-on disk thing required a proper hole in the strap! Oh to be young and brave like that again!!PixMix wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:55 pmSo nice to see all those pics of the black Jazzmaster. It's a stunner, for sure. And I have a similar pin somewhere, it has a heavy duty screw-on disc on the back. You're brave for putting it on the strap that close to the guitar finish.
My contribution to the armwear violates both the offset and vintage criteria, but at least it keeps the color + pg combo in the ballpark.
Your LP Special looks really cool! Never seen one like that before...very cool Fender vibe.

Re: Armwear...
Checked my #1 for any sign of wear- 25+ years of insanity hasn't done much more than a scratch or two, and the slightest uncapturable-via-phone-camera wear in the clearcoat.
Looking at my actual arm-wear though- I can see a bit of stage-earned relicing, although the callus has softened over the last year-and-a-half of pandemic-induced inactivity:

Re: Armwear...
I sold it quite a while ago...it was a real cool guitar, but I was in my late 20s with unsteady work, so I sold it to pay bills and things.SignoftheDragon wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 3:32 pmI'm trying hard not to claw my eyes out after seeing this pic- SO FREAKING HAWTTT!
What happened to the XII?
I do miss having it...back then they didn't fetch all that much...I think I got just over £1k for it, if I remember correctly.

Re: Armwear...
This is my 64 refin Jag body with a Marr neck. The body's an old refin that someone played the snot out of for a long time. It's a great refin candidate if I ever get up the gumption to mess with it, but it's an absolutely amazing guitar, so I'm a little superstitious about fucking with a good thing. I'll likely just leave it alone.
