I can't remember if this has already been covered, but here's a link anyway:

minus the guitar player site being everything i hate in web design and articles. i got to say i think this is an interesting guitar and would be curious is angling the pickup would fit it more into strat territory.
offset guitars resident bass player.

I've seen photos of it before but had no idea the pickups were Yamaha SG-2 style bar magnets and screw polepieces. That makes it a much bigger departure than just a semihollow body and angled bridge pickup.

Well well well. That's exactly that lovely prototype model I based my next custom project on! Shouldn't be long now!
And without knowing this article before (I mean how could I) or any of the details (hollowness was not originally intended as I already have a Thinline Jaguar) - I already did plan on the custom color and the B&B neck (thank you Squier)! Also the description of those pickups sounds a bit like Jaguar sized P90s (from e.g. the Creamery). Hahaha and then Fender will be coming along with a Reissue for the 60th Anniversary!

That thing is so cool. I agree with Mr. Davidson, it would be even cooler if it was a custom color.

The internet told me - The guitar was in Songbirds guitar Museum which shutdown last year.
It was then for sale on the Well Strung Guitar website for 6-8 months.
And it was gone when I checked 3 months ago.
Which one of you has it ?
The Fender Custom shop produced a replica for the 2012 NAMM show
It came up for sale on Reverb around 2018.
Anyone know where that one is ?

I kind of think it’s interesting they used the regular Jag pu covers but left off the chrome “claws”. In one pic you can see the gap where they normally were.
