Fender 1959 catalog

i was cleaning up my hard drive this morning and found a PDF of the Fender 1959 catalog. no idea where i got it ... maybe here :freako: all eight pages follow for the collective edification. if anyone wants the PDF, PM me your email and i'll send it along. if someone invents a time machine, let me know that too 8)

The Jazzmaster pictured appears to have a dark guard, surely tortoiseshell, with 9 mounting screws!!

Has this been discussed before? Could the guard even be black?

I always thought it went 9-hole anodised > 11-hole tortoiseshell > 13-hole tortoiseshell during the pre-CBS years.
