I know only a cretin would refinish an original burst , but some other cretin already got to this guitar. When I got it, the finish was a brownish, unsaturated BMM without a matching headstock, even though the neck was also refinished. The details are in the gbase listing (https://www.gbase.com/gear/fender-jazzm ... llic-refin) but basically aside from the refin, it is all original save for the volume & tone pots and the 3-way switch. Here's what is looked like:

I knew I wanted an already refin'd guitar so I wouldn't feel guilty refinishing it again to be sherwood green. MJT did an OK job. I'd give them an A+ for communication, a B+ for doing what I wanted (they didn't make the maple parts of the neck shiny lacquer like I asked) and a B for finish quality.
Anyway, here's the finished product (see what I did there?). The color is really hard to capture. It's somewhere between aged sherwood and cadillac green. I swapped out the fairly shrunken tort guard for a mint AVRI guard. I also added a 1 degree StewMac shim and a Mastery and it is now setup to perfection.
