fooking hell
I was smart enough to just list them all for £100. Cheap buy-in to the hype for the idiots out there. I'd rather make small bucks fast and repeatedly.

Stay tuned for the NGD thread
Is it a profit guitar, or total funds from sales guitar?
Total funds plus a little thrown in - I don't know exactly how much profit I've made
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Hmm. Interesting. This puts it at vintage mustang or AO/AVRI territory…

Or Gibson V…
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

It's actually none of those, but is a household name

Thank you. I only really flip things for profit as a way to fund the stuff I'd like to try or keep rather than as any kind of business. I also don't ever want to be one of those people being a total dick with pricing - which is why I always list things on here at totally reasonable, or even bargain, prices. And I literally just give stuff away sometimes to feed the Karma Llama.

yeah same, I just want to get rid of stuff as quickly as I can to appease the lady. and I want a vintage mosrite badly. I do give some stuff away to friends if I know they'll actually use and enjoy it.

I love the look of Mosrites, and had a 70s MIJ clone (a very good one) back in 2021. Weighed a fucking TON though and my back didn't like me for it so I moved it on. I've heard the proper ones aren't like that though.

I think Gibson faded series (especially Flying Vs and Explorers) will eventually go up in value, just like firebrand series did. These are usually pretty cool (I use a 2010 faded V as one of my main guitars because it's really, really good) instruments and they did hit the bottom of the price range already.
I was searching for another V to use as a backup and I'm struggling to find any faded V in a decent shape in EU below 1800 euro mark. crazy. I paid about 500 euro for mine back in the day :D

Kinkx, one of the best values and most under-estimated instruments of recent history, are the Gibson USA made, nitro-finish, 2011 Melody Makers .... I just bought a lovely SG, single pup, single vol. for almost a dime and a song. Put a new pickguard, and a P90 and it looks and plays terrific. Mahogany neck. One piece maple body. Roasted maple fretboard.
The line offered a cool, but basic, Flying V also. If you can live with just a neck pickup and volume, you may want to google it. See if there are any for sale.

Traynor tube amps. Incredible build - point to point. Weak link in some of them are Marsland speakers. Replace those and they are great. I paid £400 for my YGM-3 a couple of years ago - it’s very similar to a Deluxe Reverb only EL84s.

The humble JCM900 seems to be getting closer & closer to JCM2000 prices.

I know there’s tonnes of them about, and who wants a heavy 100w head (& 4x12) in this day and age. At the same time they’re iconic and mostly sound fantastic. I’m starting to think about getting one as a little investment if they keep on getting cheaper.

I've been on the hunt for a Traynor since using one at a gig in Manchester a couple of years ago. I'm not sure what model it was but it sounded fantastic. It wasn't quite loud enough so I had it cranked - it sounded like it was giving up on life but kept up for the whole set.
Nice DSLR mic quality recording of it in use, very fitting for OSG as a Jag and Bass VI are being used: https://youtu.be/51JtiPBrQ5Y

They’re very well known here in Canada, seeing as they’re a Canadian brand. Not sure about their popularity in the US.

I'm slowly coming round to the idea of thinning the herd of equipment in my house, but this is SO tempting.
To be fair, I only ever play through an Iridium at home and a Twin out of the house so I don't need another amp. There's 5 in my attic that don't see any use as it is :(
