Looks incredible. Congrats!

Those tuners look exactly like the ones on my 59 JM. The seller told me they were reproductions but I haven't been able to find anything about them. In any case they work great - very good at the job of tuning a guitar ;)

You can't escape the CAR :D
It's getting a bit silly now. I do, however feel I'm getting to a nice point where my two years of fast trading upwards is coming to some sort of a climax so the risk of more red/CAR finding its way to me is minimal :D

At the start of 2020 I had, maybe, 13 or 14 guitars of varying quality that only 2 or 3 of really saw much use. The aim (yes, I did have a sort-of plan) was to get down to 5 electrics, 1 bass and 1 acoustic but of a much nicer quality. Once the gold Jaguar goes, this will leave me with 2 60s Jags, my trusty old MIJ JM, the '64 Firebird Mustang and the Tele. Plus bass and acoustic. I think that's a nice smattering of the good stuff that I'll be happy with.

The only thing really is I still want a 60s JM. But I can't justify the current prices. And that's only going to get worse.

Having a collection similar to you... needs a Les Paul! With p90s...

The only Les Paul I'd fuck with would have to look like this:

Shame they're about £20k :D :D

The shop I work at commissioned a run of 12 MIJ Tokai's like this, but sadly they had 2 p90s and a rosewood board. However mine was my main guitar for a couple of years, my colleague put a Lollar Staple pickup in the neck and dyed the board, did look sick tbf.

ESP/Edwards make a P90 LP style very much like the above, the E-LP-130CD/P:

Image

I've long been tempted to import one, they're meant to be great.

I'm sure they're lovely but I don't think I could learn to love one so shiny. Rough around the edges is more my thing.

Although £4.5k sounds a lot more achievable:

https://reverb.com/uk/item/40604117-200 ... s-paul-lp

But I don't like Gibsons enough to even think about it.

What year do you have? I know they've reissued them a few times over the years but I think the one in that picture is a '53/'54. If you have a 50s one then I am sincerely jealous
