My 64 heavy-worn Jaguar

Post by BornToHula » Fri Nov 22, 2024 12:09 pm

This is my beloved '64 heavy-worn Jaguar.

Ever since I first saw Kurt Cobain, I fell in love with the Jaguar's design. I’m also a huge Fender enthusiast, which only adds to my appreciation for this guitar. I’ve owned other great vintage Jaguars before, but none quite like this one—it has a soul of its own.

The Mastery bridge has been a game-changer, improving string stability and adding a touch more sustain, which I love.

The neck, worn with time, has a smooth and incredibly comfortable feel that makes it a joy to play.

I bought this gem last month from a great guy in Germany. Before that, it was sold through GregGuitars (available on YouTube) and GuitarPoint.

I can’t help but imagine the amazing journey this guitar must have had before it came to me—the venues, the studios, the stories it could tell. If anyone here knows more about its history, I would be great to hear.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Damn. Love.

I've got a beat up sunburst Jag project that I hope gets to be 1/10th that kind of cool. Wow.
