Pretty hot 1971 vintage Jaguar on Reverb now, with rare black blocks and binding on a maple neck. Candy Apple Red.

I guess the price isn’t so crazy, since these black B&B maple fretboard Jags are somewhat rare.

It’s gorgeous!

Wow! The maple/block boards really do seem to go nicely with the metallics. The LPB ones are very pretty too. A much underrated look, but I imagine very few left the factory with these combos. I wish we had figures for stuff like that.

Definitely a rare bird. A custom-color Jag with black blocks/binding was the most expensive right-handed 6-string in the Fender catalog at the time -- $495 just for the guitar with no case (that's $3,900 in 2024 dollars).

I’m in the OSG minority who doesn’t really dig maple with black B&B (on any guitar).

That colour is beautiful though!
