'63 Jazzmaster into early 70s Superfuzz ...played very badly

Post by LowWatt » Mon Jun 27, 2022 4:59 pm

Hope this is okay here. Just popped up a video of whatever riffs came to mind on the spot the second I plugged my old '63 Jazzmaster into an early 70s Shin Ei/Univox Super-Fuzz. Thought some might enjoy the tones even if the playing is trash.

Greatly appreciated. I wasn’t sure if this was the kind of way to share gear sounds that only I wanted to hear/see - set everything to stun and make it up in the moment with no face or voice on the screen ever.

I dig the sound of the Jazz and that Tex. I could work with that for quite a while.

The Jazzmaster has always taken fuzz really well! Nice demo!

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the positive feedback. I'm doing this all for free just to make videos in the way I thought I was the only one who wanted - no face, no talk, only music made up in the moment - 30ish seconds of unaffected guitar then straight effect until the end.

I've just popped up a new one with that Jazzmaster and a real spring reverb built into a toolbox if anyone is curious. My favourite sound is in the second half when I turn off the dry signal and set every reverb control to max

I think there's more demand for this style than you might think. Most 'gear demo' videos are unwatchable.

Also really like that you demo stuff at the full-on/extreme range of settings.

These are the kind of videos I want to see. So sick of trying to hear a piece of gear and all it is is soloing the same boring blues shit or chuggy metal from every beardy twat in YouTube....just play some fucking open chords, pleeeeeaasse!
