New Non-Guitar Day (forthcoming)
I just snagged a Roland SH-2000 off eBay...pretty much by accident. For only the second time in my life, I tried out the "Make An Offer" button, expecting the results to be similar to my last venture, i.e. I would have to wait for the seller to make a decision on whether or not to accept my offer. Surprise! The offer was accepted INSTANTANEOUSLY.
Durp.
Well that's not so bad. I was planning on picking this thing up anyway. I think mostly I just regret not trying a lower offer. Also, I just bought a devi ever fuzz pedal, so it's been an expensive week to say the least.

SH-2000!!! was the first vintage synth i had... some many years ago!
it needs to warm up like 10 minutes so it stays somehow it tune. LOVE the popcorn and wind settings...
these things are bizarre... hope you like it!
Pat.
ps: sold mine after, like, 3 months...

The popcorn setting is the best part. Also, putting the synth in filter mode with the portamento and random note settings on and then running the synth through a delay pedal with tons of reverb and playing with the three main filter controls. You can spooky theramin sounds out of it.

Haha, I was on the phone with my girlfriend and I was typing out my reply and she was all "WHAT ARE YOU DOOOING? PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEE!"Stratelejazzuar wrote:wow - that was so knowledgable, it was almost awkward.StevenO wrote: The popcorn setting is the best part. But seriously, that's the only thing I use that synth for.

I let her play with my synth once and she was like foaming at the mouth. She was having so much fun.Stratelejazzuar wrote:ROFLJaguar018 wrote:You just use the synth to ignore your girlfriend?StevenO wrote: Haha, I was on the phone with my girlfriend and I was typing out my reply and she was all "WHAT ARE YOU DOOOING? Does that vintage synth have rabies? Was there an angry-looking raccoon anywhere near your girlfriend at the time she was playing?StevenO wrote: I let her play with my synth once and she was like foaming at the mouth. She was having so much fun.
