I'm getting close to the limit on that thing and I have some ext. drives, but I just like to be able to have all relevant data on this one thing.
Reading some tutorials gave me the impression I might be to dumb to do this, and I'm also not sure for which HD to go, even if I have it sent
in for service. I'm looking for the most reliable drive with more than 60 GB...
Anyone?
Anyone ever exchanged an HD in an iBook? How hard is it, really?

not on an i-Book, but a Power-Book...just needed a compatible drive and a hex tipped screw driver...took about 15 minutes.
i was worried about pulling some parts out as i didn't want to bend anything that wasn't meant to be bent, but it wasn't that difficult and saved about $75 from having someone else do it for me.

Yeah, all the apple stuff is easy but you need steady hands. It's the thin ribbon cables you need to watch out for.

Thanks! Any suggestions on a good HD?
