Good choice - been running with a Scarlett 2i2 for about 4 years now, it's excellent.

Initially ran it with an iPad (some rigging done with a camera/power adapter dongle) and recently transitioned to using it with an M1 MacBook Air (base) and am 100% still in love with it. Stone simple to use, sounds pretty good, no reason to upgrade for bedroom demoing.

Mics are a Senn 906 (basically a nicer 609) and an AT2035 Condenser; solid results for a rig that cost about $500 all in (not including the laptop, of course). I've also got a few 57's that I like to use for vocals/acoustic guitar as secondary mics too, can't ever have too many of those lying around.

New mic is in. Seems to work well. I didn't realize it needed 48V to be on. My programs were not recognizing sound right. Now it is all good. Does the Shure need 48v also? (Probably.) Here they are. I have baggies on them to keep dust out when not using them. I like the mic stand I got for the MLX mic. It is heavy!

No 48v for the Shure 57 (it’s a moving coil dynamic, which is 100% passive). But the 48 also won’t hurt it

Ahh, I see you have some transformers for your mics also.

There’s no disguising that sound.

More than meets the eye. (I have a bunch but that one was a Father’s Day gift from my daughter. :)

Oh, that was good.

And the improvements are already apparent in your latest demo, Chris. Way better quality than the phone! I'm sure it'll sound even better with the full setup you've got now.
