I really the challenge of going minimalist and working quickly. The other band I play bass in has dusted off the cassette 4 track.

Here’s a shot of the rig before we got started.



I pulled out the Mackie 1202VLZ just to have it ready, but it didn’t get used.

We didn’t print any compression, so the 1176s stayed off. They are awesome, but not the right thing for this.

I looked it up at some point, but I don’t remember. One of the most common later versions. Bought them from a rental company in the early 2000s.

They are fun, but I use the RNCs more.
