Talk about the Fender Jazzmaster, Jaguar, and any other offset waist guitars with us!

I found an overhead image of the ol' gal, turned it into a silhouette, and added the lines, all inspired by Decoboom's "Rockets Away". Then I bought some adhesive vinyl and went over my best friend's house to use her Cricut.
Yeah, standard JM pickguard setup. Same with their plastic guards (which, BTW, their mint is DAMN close to the AVRI Fender mint) but either way if you have to file a touch it'll be under the bridge ().bipedal2 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 7:08 amThose black guards all look really great.
I'm guessing these EY guards are spec'd for "standard" 73mm-ish Jazzmaster bridge post spacing?
My SqJMJM has 74mm post spacing and the AOM-style bridge posts, so I suspect it'd be just a hair off from working as a direct replacement.
It really does gain a vintage look, more than the gold guard does (ironically).
Admittedly I stole the general idea from Decoboom's "Rockets Away" but I wanted the refit Constitution class Enterprise instead of a generic rocket, so I designed it and got my best friend to cut it out of adhesive vinyl with her Cricut.electric__ralph wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 4:06 pmI have absolutely no interest in a black pickguard.
Never mind, I badly want to steal this idea. I love that ship as well as how subtlety awesome your design is.
Wow, what a great look. I usually hate black on white and think it looks cheesey/80's, but it takes on a whole new life on a Jazzmaster!GilmourD wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:27 pmAdmittedly I stole the general idea from Decoboom's "Rockets Away" but I wanted the refit Constitution class Enterprise instead of a generic rocket, so I designed it and got my best friend to cut it out of adhesive vinyl with her Cricut.electric__ralph wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 4:06 pmI have absolutely no interest in a black pickguard.

They do, but I feel like Paramount/CBS (whatever they call themselves this week) would sue Decoboom for the use of the silhouette of a refit Constitution class starship. So I made my own!eggo_princess wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 10:26 amWow, what a great look. PS - Decoboom makes some really cool stuff.
Shh, don't give them any ideas!GilmourD wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 7:06 amThey do, but I feel like Paramount/CBS (whatever they call themselves this week) would sue Decoboom for the use of the silhouette of a refit Constitution class starship.
