HEY DUDES

Post by brunning » Thu Jul 26, 2007 11:19 am

hi! i'm ben from brooklyn. i just signed up. i don't actually own an offset guitar at the moment, but it won't be long before i unload my boring-ass old stratocaster and a jazzmaster is mine! (preferably oly white)

i'm in brooklyn, ny, play in a shoegazey-psych-whatever band called MONARK (with osg username: monark... funny) and play a les paul, 70s SG, 70s guild s-100, hiwatt halfstack and a bunch of fuzz boxes.

Welcome Ben. Just got an Oly white JM myself. I'm finally am making the tone I've heard in my head for so long, yet could never nail down. And Oly is just so damned cool. Especially after it yellows a bit. Good luck in your search.

No offense, dude, but a new B&B Jazz from Ishibashi  is around $800 shipped to the U.S.  Unless yours has a vintage neck or something...

G'day there ...

brunning monark  ....  can I ask you both to go and read carefully the rules that apply to this news group.

We have certain sections that allow members to sell/swap items  (this can be viewed once 50 posts have been acrued) .

Further there is no bargaining what so ever on this board.  When you have an item to sell, you state the price or what you want to swap for it.  There are other places that allow for bargaining, namely ebay or down at the local pub....

If any more bargaining or discussion of "selling" an item occurs in this thread, it shall be deleted.  It is not that I am being mean, but rather following the rules of the Newsgroup.

I trust you will understand ....

$1700  ???

As they're bandmates, I guess they're just having a laugh, right? .. must be that dry New York sense of humour.

:)

Vintage CIJ? .. man you were ripped off, if it was a real vintage '66 it would be MIJ, everyone knows that ..

But anyway, the basic principle is there .. buying/selling gets done in the right section.

And people who see each other regularly probably shouldn't bring their daily chit-chat to forums, either...
