How did the case cleaning go? I’ve been away for a coupla weeks and a few of mine are all mouldy again - grrrr

I think the sunlight helped, yes. The UV specifically. I scrubbed the interiors lightly with a brush and a borax solution, let them dry in the sun for a few days, then vacuumed the borax dust out. A few visible spots remain but the mold itself hasn't come back yet, a few years later.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! Since everyone is asking, I will share some pics I've since cleaned all these up so forgive me if some of these look a little dingy, that has been rectified.

Apologies for not saying this earlier - I am sorry for your loss. My dad died in 2016 and it was super sad. I did inherit his banjos and a nice Martin acoustic but I’d rather have a few more conversations than those, any day. I am sorry I didn’t say this before, I was just dumbstruck at that insane collection. But he was a person who was alive and he was your dad, I am sorry I didn’t say that first. He seems like the COOLEST dad! And also, mom with cat makes it even more brilliant!

Amazing collection, your dad was clearly an OSG kind of guy with great taste.

Holy shit, man. Your dad had a good eye. The P-basses and those amps are KILLING me.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad, my condolences. Never easy dealing with the estate of a family member (especially a parent).

and WOW, what a collection! Your dad had really great taste in guitars. Glad to hear you are taking care of them and getting things freshened up (all that humidity sitting in the cases is never good for guitars).

Please keep us posted if/when you are selling any of these. I'd quite like an early 60s sunburst Jazzmaster, and he has some nice ones here.

Wow. Those are some beauties.
All I got from my dad was a lifelong distrust of my romantic partner and other psychological issues that have required years of therapy. (And an '87 Charvel lol)
