Hello from Amsterdam
Hello everybody, my name is Michiel, i'm 29 years old and i live in Amsterdam.
I've been following this very cool site for months now even though i didnt own an offset.
The information one can find here is absolutely invaluable!
It was my dream to own a Jazzmaster and now i finally do.
I am obsessed with matching headstocks, to me that's pure porn, and a few weeks ago i finally found one on ebay within my budget
A lpb cij from a dealer in switzerland:
i am very very pleased with it, even though it needs some work.
I regurlarly check this site and will hopefully meet some interesting people here.
as a closer, im proud to finally be part of the passionate & dedicated offset family.
Have a great day,
greetings Michiel

Welcome! You join a small but vital group of Amsterdamites (Amsterdaminians? Amsterdammers?). Lovely guitar, too.

Wow! Fantastic Jazzmaster! I'm a sucker for all shades of blue and your JM is definitely no exception.
And of course, welcome to the board

Re: Hello from Amsterdam
Thanks Mute!
The thing i love most about the lake placid blue is that it looks ' completely' different in different lights.
That might sound logical, but fellow lpb owners probably know what i mean:)
as i already mentioned, i'm a sucker for matching headstock, the guy (or girl) who invented that should get a medal!

Re: Hello from Amsterdam
Though I don't own any LPB guitars I know what you mean. Being the lucky owner of an ocean turquoise JM I’ve experienced this myself. IMO, it seems like most blue and green(-ish) metallic colours tend to have this quality to them.Michiel wrote: The thing i love most about the lake placid blue is that it looks ' completely' different in different lights.

Re: Hello from Amsterdam
That's cool, does your ocean turquoise has a matching headstock?:)
is there a pic of it floating somewhere?
I hope the siesta red has the 'color changing' quality as well, i hope to own one oneday.

Re: Hello from Amsterdam
Unfortunately, no matching headstock for me. And yes, there is a picture of my JM floating around (two actually), I posted them along with my own introduction a while back (index.php?topic=4319.0)Michiel wrote: That's cool, does your ocean turquoise has a matching headstock?:)
