De Ville reverse Firebird
This was a guitar a neighbour was about to throw in the dump. It was disgustingly dirty, missing the tail-stop and nut.
I stripped it down completely cleaned everything and replaced the tail-stop with a unit from Thomann, the nut with a Tusq XL graphite nut, and put on a set of power slinky strings. The fretboard took a lot of danish oil and only the 9th fret was too high. It took a few days to sort it out but it turned out great.
Set it all up to play as it should and sold it on for what it cost me in parts and fuel for deliverying it to the buyer for a total of £60.

I am sure it was probably worth a bit more, but I like to find guitars, fix them up to pass onto guys struggling to even get a couple of hundred£ together to buy something that is playable for the cost of parts at most. I call it my hobby. I tell anyone I meet, not to bin or sell on their 'bust' guitars until I see it.

First post here. What an interesting place for information. Photo sorted
