Long time lurker, first time account-creator.
Hello fellow offset fans! I've been visiting the forum off-and-on for over a decade at this point, I figured it was high time I finally registered.
I've been playing guitar for about 26 years, and I've been an offset lover for most of that time. Guitar was my escape for a bad home life and gave me something focus on when not in school. Like a lot of children of the 90s, I came to know offsets via one Kurt Cobain. It wasn't until I got a Classic Player Jaguar HH in 2010 that I finally got to own one myself. I found a used one at a local Guitar Center and decided to pull the trigger. Little did I know the world of offset waists that would open up for me.
After a string of health scares in my late 20s (fuck cancer), I came to the realization that I was working myself to death with stress and not making time for myself and my wife. I vowed to dedicate more time to playing guitar, and eventually more and more pieces caught my eye on Reverb/eBay/Craigslist.
Here's what I've collected over 25+ years of playing. I have a very understanding wife! Edit: pictures here!
Offsets:
-American Original '60s Jaguar (sunburst)
-Vintera HH Jaguar (surf green; to replace the CP that I foolishly sold)
-60th Anniversary Jazzmaster (black)
-Parts XII (olympic white; Alternate Reality body/pickguard/pickups, Warmoth B&B neck, wired vintage-style with four-way rotary)
-'65 Mustang (Dakota red; loaded with EP Customs pickups after the originals died)
-'08 CIJ Mustang (competition orange)
-Parts Mustang (competition blue; Squier CV body/Warmoth neck, refinished by the inimitable Copacetic Customs)
-Acoustasonic Jazzmaster (natural)
-Squier Bass VI (Atlantis Aqua nitro; also refinished by Copacetic)
-Squier VM '70s Jazz Bass (currently natural, planning to have it refin'd as well)
-JMJ Mustang Bass (aged Daphne blue; seriously one of the best basses I've owned/played)
Non-offsets:
-'79 Stratocaster (Antigua)
-'84 Gibson Explorer (alpine white; I can't deny my Hetfield fanboyism as a young man)
-'98 Epiphone Explorer (natural; my first "real" guitar. I'll never get rid of it)
-Vintera Telecaster Custom (sonic blue; I added a B50 "F" Bigsby)
-Vintera Telecaster Deluxe (walnut; loaded with reissue CuNiFes)
-LTD Eclipse NT87 (rainbow crackle; had to edit this in. How could I have forgotten?)
-Squier Precision (sunburst)

Yeah, this post is useless without pics! I will see if I can get the family wrangled together for a group photo.
In the meantime, here are photos of the Mustangs, Bass VI and XII (before I redid the wiring) that I have on my phone.

It's great, isn't it? I think of it as the perfect marriage of Lake Placid Blue and Sherwood Green. Once I saw that color on Copacetic's site, I had to have it.

Whoa. Welcome to OSG! I’m definitely NOT jealous of any of your guitars.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Wow those are both the same Bass VI? Looks like two totally different colors from the outside shot to the laying down shot.

Yep, same one. The outside shot is closer to the true color. A couple of the inside shots came out too dark and my phone’s color correction went a little overboard trying to compensate. For reference, the Mustang bass beside it is Daphne blue.N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 6:32 amWow those are both the same Bass VI?
