Hi Everyone.
My name is Joe and I live on the coast of Rhode Island, USA.
My first real guitar was a Jaguar that I bought from a friend of mine back in 1971. He had planned to refinish it, but ended up buying something else. The guitar was in pieces in a box and I paid $75 for it. My neighbor was an architect who played jazz guitar and banjo and he offered to help me refurbish it and get it up and running. I went over to his house everyday after I got home from school to work with on it him. As I recall, the neck was stamped Nov 1963. We finished it in natural and I played that guitar in bands until 1977, when it was stolen from my parents' house.
Since then I've owned a bunch of different guitars and built a custom Tele Thinline.
Now that I'm an old geezer, I'm feeling nostalgic for a Jaguar. My old Jag just felt "right" to me.
I'm interested in learning about the differences between Squiers, MIM, MIA, MIJ, etc. This forum seemed to be an excellent resource.
Greetings from Rhode Island
