Yes, I've been getting into it. She doesn't seem to be able to put a foot wrong the last few years.

FYI Carla has a tape (which was sold on the US tour) coming out of cover versions called Top of the Pops that's up for pre-order in all the usual places but was available from Low Company for a second.
Give me back My Man (34 minutes into this)
Carla dal Forno - Lay Me Down (love the Renee - Lay Me Down]original)*
Carla Dal Forno - Summertime Sadness
One of the songs she covers is No Romance by The Fates who you should check out if you don't know them, Ceaseless Effort is bloody amazing/
D
*Change Your style is also a cracking song off that album which channels Fleetwood Macs best side nicely
Here's some samplesPearl blue cassette comes wrapped in colour printed J-cards and with colour sticker inlays. Artwork designed by Carla dal Forno. Photo taken in Yorkshire Grove, Hackney. “Everything begins and ends at exactly the right time and place, look...” Carla dal Forno presents ‘Top Of The Pops,’ a self-released cassette disclosing six songs of sultry pop devotion. This late-Spring cassette of cover songs gets the wider autumnal release it deserves, showcasing the full range of dal Forno’s virtuous taste, style and production in her distinct post-punk, pop (but) minimalist sensibility. Not without cheek, the wink-and-a-nod blue film bawdiness of ‘Lay Me Down’ (Renee) and ‘Give Me Back My Man’ (B52s) are complemented by the earnest ballads of ‘A Silver Key Can Open A Lock Somewhere’ (Liliput) and The Fates’ ‘No Romance.’ Kiwi Animal’s ‘Blue Morning,’ which over the last year has grown with every live performance, finally gets a recorded release. This cosmic inner dialogue of love lost is matched only by the penultimate track, ‘Summertime Sadness’ which is the best example of how devastatingly personal a pop song truly can be. It’s all emphasised by dal Forno’s sparse production which, as with each of these six songs, brings her au fait vocal interpretations to the fore.

Ooh. Can't listen now as behind work firewall, but will file away for later.
I read a great review of Awkwardly Blissing Out which I can't find again but it described the album as sounding like Manek showed up to play bass at the first practice of a post-punk band only to find the singer in a sleepwalking trance and the keyboard player having a psychotic breakdown.

New and cheeky titled F ingers track on the superb "No Order In Destiny" Compilation, worth getting if still somewhere to be found.
F Ingers - Orgy In The Country Homestead With Friends And Bondage
Thomas Bush - Ripe I really urge folks into F ingers or Carla Del Forno to check this out, I lack the eloquence to describe it so I'll refrain.

Took a Long Time is ace. I just dropped it on a mixtape next to Bruce Gilbert 'Epitaph for Henran Brenlar and after Bloody Shadows from Afar . Carla often makes me think of AC Marias/Bruce.
The full Shadowplay Coven have tickets for Carla in November (£10 bargain!). It's over 18's but we've managed to get the young ones in in the past and I'll try and sort it in advance or the older two can take their mates. Otherwise it's going to be tears because Carla is a full family favourite.

Sounds good - I'm back out of the UK again in early November, have to check if there's a Manchester date before I go.

Positively floored by Yl Hooi 's debut cassette getting a LP reissue on Efficient Space.
Tarquin Manek was involved, both were 'allegedly' behind or part of Kallista Kult .
