So...

I just checked out (literally) the Deluxe Edition of Daydream Nation from a local library -- I've already got the album, but the Deluxe version is a two-disc set with live stuff, which is what I was interested in.

For kicks, I listened to disc 1, the remastered version of the original album -- subtle differences, but definitely more "girth" to the guitar tones compared to the original version...  I like.
No guitars were hurt (permanently, at least) while making this music: https://soundcloud.com/marcescence.

The new album is pretty good, I'm loving Antenna.

The cover of Within You, Without You that is on the deluxe DDN set is EPIC
I said he's been set free
Shares a little joke with the world somehow

I didn't say "extra" ticket....
just "a" ticket - as in, "a ticket being used by me" ticket.
Sorry dude, but daddy needs this more than you!  ;)

I bought Eternal, and I just can't get into it.  I have been a sonic fan for many years and I've owned all of their albums and most of the obscure stuff and I can say that I don't like noise..I do like the four or five chill songs on the new Free Kitten album and massaging the history is ok, but kinda like Sympathy and Golden Blue.

Eternal gives me a headache, and parts of songs stick in my head and induce headaches (mission control to brain police, anti-orgasm...kim's raunchy yelling, that's what we know, etc.)...it's all predictable and stale to me...I fell like I'll feel better when I sell my copy.  I wasn't gonna buy it but then thought I'd give it a try.  The same thing happened with Thurston's newest solo album, not impressed and sold it.  Although, I can no longer listen to Psychic Hearts either, and I used to be really into that one.

overall, the Eternal doesn't meet my expectations...perhaps I'm getting older or something?

I am stoked on getting Farm though.  I find myself becomming more and more of a dino fan and less of a sonic fan, even though I love them and am way into them.

I didn't really like any of the songs that I heard from it online, I have yet to buy it

I wasn't jumping hot, on fire when I first heard it.
but it's continued to get better with every listen.
That's usually good for longevity, with me...

I feel the same.  Farm sounds like it will be a great album.

I think The Eternal is amazing. They kind of lost my interest with Murray Street, but every album after that keeps getting better.
They don't advertise for killers in the newspaper. That was my profession. Ex-cop. Ex-blade runner. Ex-killer.
