Struggling to post a picture but just recently picked up the reissue of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins on vinyl and reminded myself how amazing the entire album is.
Edit, managed to add a picture. Falling in love with this album all over again

Not a lot gets said about skatepunk in here but a couple of days ago was the 10yr anniversary of the death of Tony Sly. I have been mostly spinning NUFAN records since getting back from the hospital. This record in particular as I was 15/16 when it came out and battling substance abuse after being thrown out my parents house, and it resonated with me on a particular level:

Still listen to NUFAN regularly. Although mostly more betterness & hard rock bottom, with a playlist of the best tracks from the earlier albumsjohnnysomersett wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 8:59 pmNot a lot gets said about skatepunk in here but a couple of days ago was the 10yr anniversary of the death of Tony Sly. Came back to say, revisited this album after the gym this morning & teenage me is heartbroken once again. I’d kinda forgotten this album, eclipsed by more betterness- but damn, Secret was my jam and it still gets me.johnnysomersett wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 8:59 pmNot a lot gets said about skatepunk in here but a couple of days ago was the 10yr anniversary of the death of Tony Sly. This album, Pinkerton & Ixnay on the Hombre we’re on constant cassette rotation on the way to school.

Yeah, apart from Descendants being my #1, NUFAN in general and Undeclinable Ambuscade's "One For The Money" taught me that skatepunk could be properly sad and smash you right in the feelssal paradise wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 12:21 amCame back to say, revisited this album after the gym this morning & teenage me is heartbroken once again. so far today : stiff little fingers, wire, sonic youth, that dog, circle jerks, off!, 7 seconds and bowie.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.
