Can’t go wrong with Kim Deal! And this is what’s stopping me from seeing any Pixies shows until she is back in the lineup. One can only hope...

Yeah, he’s great. Very reminiscent of Charlie Feathers, but in a 1 man band package, yet doing his own thing & dabbling in psychobilly at times. He’s also an extremely nice & approachable guy at his shows.

Just received the new Mark Lanegan album " straight songs of sorrow" on clear vinyl. Not his best but a pretty solid album.

Not very recently, but pre-quarintine these were my favorite recent finds.

Was able to snag Matt Talbott's new pressing of Downward is Heavenward.

Also found a bunch of reasonably priced old punk albums, mainly SST at a record store in Winooski VT. Most were pretty beat though, except for these two. I got real excited when I found an original copy of "Bug" in the New Arrivals crate and then shattered to see the condition of it.

Reviving this cos it makes more sense than the one I started the other day. Soz!

Picked up a few albums from The HMV centenary thing today. Fopp in Leicester Square took orders from the queue & sold out of half the albums before it opened.

Also picked the Mellon Collie boxset yesterday from Rough Trade. Super happy about that.

This year has been good so far - got about 50 new records already - but my personal highlights are ATAXIA - Automated Writing! 😍The finally reissued soundtrack of Only Lovers Left Alive and Nippon Guitars by Takeshi Terauchi.

My wife's a big REM fan so I got her the RSD OG Radio Free Europe single reissue as an anniversary present:

I got over-excited & bought the deluxe pack with the cassette, T-shirt & cassette player. Document is about as far back as my tastes go, but it seemed cool. Will gift it to a friend’s kid when he’s older- he loves his rock music.
