I just recently started buying vinyl, mostly searching thrift store bins for the odd find. My collection is at a total of 9 (plus a few 7" back home, I can't remember what they are).. But they all are pretty recent so i thought I'd share:
-Kenny Rodgers and the First Edition - Greatest Hits
-Bruce Cockburn - Humans
-Phil Collins - Face Value
-Phil Collins - No Jacket Required
-Phil Collins - Hello, I must be going
-Timber Timbre - Sincerely, Future Pollution (only non-thrift store buy)

Today, for a grand total of 3 bucks:
-The Beatles - Rubber Soul
-Beach Boys - Endless Summer
-Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Lovely Creatures
Anna Calvi - Live at Meltdown (Record Store Day exclusive)

The Anna Calvi LP is... wow, beyond words! A concert with a choir that shows her capabilities as both musician and arranger. And her playing is as pretty as everything about her... :-*

I got my copy of Still Corners - Creatures of an Hour today. Was kind of excited but then I saw the gold sticker on the sleeve that identified my copy as one of the "Loser Edition". Hurt my feelings and shit.

For Christmas, my brother in law gave me Earth - Live at Third Man Records. I've never heard this one, but he and I both love Earth, and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one when I give it a spin

Mine isn't here yet but I'm really looking forward to it, unfortunately I didn't realise I was going to be away when they shipped and it's probably at home and I'll need to get it either set up here or have it travel with a guest.

Just a general FYI for the wider public....check out Heroin in Tahiti, they are an amazing band (who play offsets if that matters to you), I'm only half joking when I say they are like a cross between surf splashed Morricone and Coil. I'd saySun and Violence is a stone cold masterpiece.

Heroin in Tahiti - Casilina Tapes 2010 | 2017

Btw PJazzmaster have you heard the David Eugene Edwards & Alexander Hacke album?

I had time to listen to it yesterday evening and it's great. Please tell me if yours also comes with an empty (!!) cover of some completely different record/ band in addition to the actual item ??? Just wondering ....

thanks for the hint. I didn't know they did an album together. I was only aware that they both played together with Crime & TCS on their last tour.
I'll give it a listen because I am curious but actually I am not much into the work of David Eugene Edwards although I saw 16HP once in the late 90's almost accidentally
