The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.

Been trying to behave because no job.
But I saw Rock of Ages in a shop today. I’m such a nerd for the Band and it’s the one album of theirs I don’t have. Plus it’s an amazing concert. So I bought it. And apparently came here to justify it to myself.

Truly! Not only did I buy the single when I saw it in the store, but I went home and ordered the “Never Too High” single from Discogs. I also previously tracked down a copy of “Living Room” on vinyl. I still need to grab “Slo-Blo” on vinyl. Cell are so underrated. They got sucked up into the Grunge Machine and spit back out with very little notice, maybe because they were never a grunge band to begin with. I like to think of them as NYC’s answer to Come (another band who were unfairly lumped in with the grunge brigade).

They remind me of a light version of SY mixed with Das Damen and Come or something, they are really post-sst feeling. I always dug them. I saw them open for Sugar in like 1992 and they were SUPER good. I've never seen slo-blo on vinyl but would gladly scoop it up if i did. I was looking at cars get crushed on discogs yesterday, feeling the old stuff a lot lately.blacktiger wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 8:51 amTruly!
