Going to shamelessly plug this, because like many of us on OSG my friends and one of my favorite bands here in Seattle are grown-ass people with adult responsibilities and aren’t usually in a position to tour. They are great, and this may literally be your only chance to see them.
The best way I can think to describe them is if Flannery O’ Connor short stories were set to music. Claire’s writing gets pretty dark and strange, but is also very catchy. Add a solid rhythm section and lead and pedal steel guitar wizardry, and it’s a hell of a thing.
They’ve put out 3 singles for their upcoming record Miracle Baby already, and the rest of the tracks are just as good. Also available on the usual streaming services.
