Anyone into The Beths?
Been a fan since the first record and just saw them at Warsaw in Brooklyn this weekend. Great night full of singalongs and some truly awesome tones/guitar playing from Jonathan Pearce on his LP Deluxe.
Anyone else into them? The latest record is an excellent entry point if not.

Can't say I've sat down and listened to all of their releases, but "expert in a dying field" is such a wonderful song.
This is a reminder to finally make the time to give them a more dedicated listen!

Knees Deep off that regular is also incredible. Wonderful soaring melody on the chorus.

Love that band. Amazing melodies; Jump Rope Gazers was a big pandemic record for me.

Yup, brilliant.

I've never got massively into the - thought 'Future Me Hates Me' was a great tune then didn't remember to go any further - but I saw them in Brixton a while back and was really pleasantly surprised. Super fun gig, lots of great songs. This reminds me to go back and have a more in depth look.

Totally killed live. Let me tell you.
Also the tones! Glorious tones. Jonathan Pearce got me back into pedal gain after that gig.

I also really love how DIY and down to earth they are! Easy to go talk to them at shows because they're running their own merch table. And gosh, what a great singer and writer Liz Stokes is. Top shelf all the way around.stevejamsecono wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:56 amTotally killed live. Let me tell you.

Re: Anyone into The Beths?
Totally head over heels with this band.
Bought every physical release possible off Bandcamp, hope they tour here soon else I'll fly over to NZ for a gig+holiday.
Keep coming back to Jump Rope Gazers, River Run: Lvl 1 and 2am but pretty much everything sounds special.

Really good live, finally got to see them at Primavera earlier this year and they were just perfect.

Re: Anyone into The Beths?
Gave it a listen, really good vocals, some very nice riffs. But I could't manage to remember a song as soon as it's over :/

Re: Anyone into The Beths?
Saw them with The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie in Seattle a couple weeks ago. I didn't know anything about them going into them but was pleasantly surprised! Very catchy but without sacrificing any of the noisy, feedback-laden factor. I think Liz was playing a G&L Fallout?
