My new solo EP Autoteller

Here it is.

I've been messing around with these songs since early summer on and off and decided with new Half Tail music in the can and rolling out soon I should just put this out now, so there ya go. Just in time for October's Bandcamp Friday. I don't even know how to describe it really, but it's 4 songs in under 9 minutes, so it won't take too long out of your day, There is an F bomb in the last song if you are sensitive to such things .

Nice - really liking 'Qualified Immunity', particularly when the strings come in.

Thanks. I was a little wary of trying the fake strings on that, but I think it works.

There’s a lot of rhythmic push and pull on that song. It’s kind of on the verge of falling apart all the time.

Strings worked for me too - what was the method if you don't mind me asking?

There's something to be said about this; I tend to think of it as a positive aspect across a lot of the music I like :)

Thanks. Yeah, I tried to leave some unevenness and chaos in.

The strings are just the stock sound in Garageband. I played 3 different parts then ran the MIDI off as a stereo audio track and then dropped it back into the session, high passed and added some reverb to smear things a bit.

All tracks are spot on.

Really like the production and the individual instrument sounds but the writing is what pulls me in immediately. Top notch.

I learned a lot doing this one.

Just giving this a quick bump as we hit the 1 month mark of this being out.

If you like stuff like The Sea & Cake, Elliott Smith, or Nada Surf you may dig it.
