Wow, thank you, OSG. This was a fun read and brought back a lot of memories of the 90s and 2000s for me, nostalgic and inspiring to go back and discover music I missed along the way, pre-internet. I especially appreciate the nods to Dischord and post-punk. Music exposure for me has been really spotty the last 10 years, and this thread is really energizing to get back into discovering new music.

As an aside, I’ve always been a full-album listener/collector, but my hoarding mentality has kind of collapsed in on itself. I haven’t listened to >50% of my mp3 collection, and it’s been that way for 10+ years. Though the current era of streaming any song ever has diminished the art of the album, I think I may just have to embrace it as the easiest way to find new music.

As for my list, I really couldn’t decide so I totally cheated for half this list, sorry. And it really drops off towards the end…

Finally got my list together. A few years I couldn't pick one album, but it's really almost a perfect representation of my musical tastes 8) Also, born in 1986, don't have favorites for a few years at all, but I deleted the lines with nothing in them, to try to make the list physically smaller.
