new jangly, shoegaze-y powerpop from Curling (RIYL: Big Star, Television, Beatles, MBV)

the last time I got to do one of these posts was 2018 (!), so i'm super excited to share this new tune.
our last music video was pretty guitarist-friendly since it had 51 guitars in it. this one's a bit less guitar-focused, but there's some cool appearances from my CS '67 Tele and a Rickenbacker 360/12C63. there's a Jag that makes a brief appearance in the video. it's the guitar playing the big, fuzzy lead riff during the intro and outro of the tune!

the tune itself is kind of a 2-minute powerpop symphony. tons of musical information and hooks, a huge feedback-laden shoegaze-y guitar lead, and lots of really weird chords.

Reminds me a lot of "I am the cancer" era Sloan @ 1992 or so. Good shoegaze riff layered up on some Teenage Fanclub loving chords. I've spent a lot of time in this same range myself. Good work
