One of the best gigs I saw this year, at a London festival, and I hate festivals with a passion (but who can say no to a chance to see Amyl & The Sniffers, Tropical Fuck Storm and Alex Cameron on the same day?). They are an absolute powerhouse on stage, they are young and their energy is infectious. When they played Hertz, the whole damn field got together and screamed the lyrics in cathartic release, the frustrations of pandemic and lockdowns temporarily nullified. I don't think I'd ever felt connected to a crowd of any sort. Those moments are rare!
I also like how they make sure there are affordable tickets to their shows (they offer a cheaper option on the booking websites 'for those who are struggling financially'), which is very considerate in a post-Fugazi world. And they had two extra people in their crew to translate the lyrics to sign language on stage.
What's with those Aussie bands of the 2020's? They make it really hard to be bitter about the, erm, 'state of music', whatever that means

I really dig them. Agree with the sentiment that their energy is fantastic.
