I’ve been lurking and posting a bit here, and really enjoy the vibe of this forum. So I thought I’d re-introduce myself and share my music.
I’m a full time recording engineer and studio owner, as well as an adjunct professor teaching audio production. I’ve played drums for the majority of my life, but also guitar and some piano. For two decades, I’ve been recording computer-based music (in the early days utilizing softsynths and loops) and shifted into ambient/drone about ten years ago.
Here’s my last record, which has elements of shoe gaze, a little krautrock and a while lot of Harold Budd influence.
An Eternity of This
For this album, I used a Squier Classic Vibe Mustang with Novak Pickups. Effects include an Akai Headrush, Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter, Earthquaker’s The Depths and MXR Carbon Copy, among my usual staple of overdrives and compression.
Thanks for listening! I’ll try to post some studio photos soon.

I've just finished listening to this and I really enjoyed it. It actually made me forget about my horrendous hangover for a time, so thank you.

Some photos from the sessions... nothing with my Sqiuer CV Mustang, but I did briefly have a CV Jaguar at the end. Here you can see the tape loop that I used for one of the tracks...

The drums used for some of these tracks include an unidentified brass 6-lug snare that I've had since a kid
