I made an album with a bunch of vintage offsets on it

Post by takeittothemall » Wed Oct 05, 2022 7:14 pm

Over the last year or so, I wrote and recorded an album. I thought OSG folks might be somewhat interested as it has a bunch of vintage offsets on it, including a 1965 L Series Jazzmaster, 1963 Jazzmaster, 1965 Mustang and a 1962 Jaguar. (There are several reissue Fenders, a Goldtop1971 Les Paul Deluxe, and a 1966 Guild Starfire as well.) Outside of back-up vocals on one song, I wrote and recorded everything—guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals.

The band name is Loud Shusher and the album is called The Wind Whispers Shut Up. It’s on Spotify and all the other music streaming platforms. If you like 90s indie rock (Pavement, Yo La Tengo, Built To Spill, Beachwood Sparks) it’s probably up your alley. Here’s a link to one of the songs on YouTube:

Catchy!

That’s a lot of guitars, why did you use so many?
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I just have a lot of guitars and like searching for different tones on different songs. Part of the fun I guess.

Just listened on my way to work, enjoyed it. Did I hear some Jaguar with vibrato arm used during Future Me?

On “Future Me” that’s my ‘59 reissue Strat panned left. Everything panned right or center is the 1971 Goldtop.

I made another album. This time with a bunch of vintage amps on it too, mostly my 1964 Deluxe Reverb, 1965 Ampeg Gemini I, 1965 Gibson Falcon, and 1964 Tremolux.

It's on Spotify, etc, but here's the Youtube link:

I don’t have time now to listen to the whole thing, but I listened to Akimbo, and thought it was great. Will listen to the entire album soon.
