What are your top 3 (5, 10, whatever) bands fronted by women?

Favorite new record? Favorite old record? Got a band? Post it here.

That's too vague of a prompt, so I have absolutely no way of narrowing down to just three...
Also, aside from my #1 pick (at the end of my post) I literally cannot rank the rest, I really do like them all.

Simply listing the first ones that come to mind off the top of my head:
Cocteau Twins (Elizabeth Fraser)
Garbage (Shirley Manson)
No Doubt (Gwen Stefani)
The Joy Formidable (Ritzy Bryan)
The Cranberries (Nell Quinn)

More off the top of my head that I really like but don't know the vocalist(s) name(s)...
Diet Cig
Metric
Evanescence
The Pierces
Crystal Castles

But absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite is Florence and the Machine (Florence Welch and Isabella Summers).
I have seen them every single time they've come through Northern California and they are legitimately one of my top three favorite active bands. Florence Welch's voice might honestly be my favorite sound on planet Earth.

Jack

EDIT: Damn, reading through everyone else's posts there are SO many excellent ones that I completely forgot! ...I'm just gonna stick with my 11 above because that's already more than 3, and as Nigel Tufnel said... "These go to eleven."

There are so many (lots of good examples already mentioned) but off the top of my head- Smoke Fairies, Gemma Ray, Mermaidens, The Delines, and any of Jay Clarkson's projects.

I love that Veruca Salt '95 Glatsonbury performance. I never got to see them live, but there's this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPsQcB52V18

I loved the '90s too. Lots of women fronting/and or supporting great alt rock bands. I'd go to a festival like Lollapalooza and see a whole slew finishing up the day with Elastica, Hole, and Sonic Youth for instance. Women rock.

Both time I saw The Cramps, there were different women on bass, but always Ivy on guitar. Lux is obviously the ultimate front man and as hard as it is to take your eyes of him, Ivy was right there in front laying down the psychobilly riffs, standing steady like a foil to his mania. Such a badass. I'm still impressed by her style and presence.

They released a new single & announced an album yesterday…
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Ooops! Another one I'd forgotten to mention.
