Davis is legend. I wasn’t around here very often in the past few years but I noticed his absence every single time I checked-in.

Re: I miss Shadowplay
Getting back more into I'm realizing some OGs missing...
Got a few very good recommendations from David back in the day, also his eye for detail and things other than offsets was great. OSG surely has become a lot less fashionable over the years without shadowplay and ADH.
Hope they're all doing well!

David is a great dude and he is sorely missed around here. He turned me on to a lot of great music, which I would otherwise not have ever discovered.
Mackerelmint/Megan has disappeared as well.

Yeah, I noticed Meg drop off significantly when the Misc Discussions got pulled then somewhat-neutered. I miss the passionate vitriol she/they brought to discussions. I hope she's/they're well.

I don't see her on Facebook, either, so this might be a break from social media.
Which I get. I quit participating on Facebook almost entirely, although I have one friend I chat with.
This is the only social media I do these days.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

I still have a facebook account but I haven't posted in several years. I have been toying with getting back on to post a link to my Bandcamp page but just don't want to. I do hope Megan is doing well.

The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Re: I miss Shadowplay
We should have a day once a year where the people who have left OSG for various reasons come back just to say hey and all that. Then they can go back to not being here if they don't want to. There are a few I really miss chatting with, StevenO and Sid Nitzerglobin just to name two. With the exception of one singular person, everyone I've had any interactions with here have been amazing and outstanding people. I didn't chat with David very much, but he was a good dude, and I do miss some of his music posts.

Quite a few have disappeared seemingly without a trace over the yearsShadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:32 pmWe should have a day once a year where the people who have left OSG for various reasons come back just to say hey and all that. "I don't know why we asked him to join the band 'cause the rest of us don't like country music all that much; we just like Graham Lee."

Re: I miss Shadowplay
I wouldn’t necessarily count it all bad that people are gone from here. Life comes with phases. I’ve been a part of OSG for 10 years officially and lurked for 2 years prior to that. It’s stayed pretty constant and it’s been a fun hobby. But, sometimes I think about moving on. At this time, I still enjoy getting on to chat about cool gear. I notice many of the forum members are a younger crowd, which is cool. But it’s a little different for me. Being in your 30s is weird. With that said, I do miss a lot of the veterans that came and went during my time here.
