new Robin Guthrie interview
in case you've missed it, he's released a ton of stuff the past couple months through Bandcamp – an album, multiple EP's, some stray singles, and another new EP just pre-released today.
of course it's all about the FX, but these day's he's recording with a Gretsch baritone and ... wait for it ... a Squier '51

Thanks for posting! From the interview:
“And I'm so lucky because I think young people have a romantic view that I don’t quite have! It’s like the romantic notion that vinyl is better, or people paying out the ass for vintage equipment – which is actually what I would call ‘old’ equipment. Vintage equals better? I am not there. I am too old for that.”
You go Robin!

That was swell. I'm not a huge Cocteaus fan or anything but I'll take any old head saying that the vintage thing is a crock. Whatever gets you making music is the right stuff.
And you find out life isn't like that
