I just took out and had a listen to my copy of loveless, bought back when it came out. A friend told me to look if it was the ”Town house” pressing and it was. Checked on Discogs and man are the price just insane for one like that. 5 for sale and the cheapest is 500€!! That’s a nice guitar right there for just one record

I would probably sell it if it's a first pressing in good condition. All the vinyl stuff is way up especially if it's good condition. But that's kind of the caveat. As the condition lower the price drastically lowers, so I would just unload it while it's in good shape. Not really wanting the headache of like potentially doing some minor damage and the thing loses half its value.

yeah, I'd sell it and buy the newer pressing for much cheaper. I've got the newer one and it sounds good enough to me...

Even the MBV Records release from 2016/17, which are supposedly the best mastered/pressed, are fetching US$300 plus.
That's ridiculous.
BTW I've got the set of MBV Records releases in mint condition if anyone wants to make an over the top offer!

Looks like all those coloured pressing from around the globe have been blocked. Bootleg maybe?

MBV just announced they’re re-releasing all their stuff so now would probably be a great time to sell.

“Listed for” and “sold for” are two different things. The most a copy has actually sold for on Discogs is $357. On eBay, it’s gone as high as $434. Still a big chunk of money, but not quite 500€.

Domino are releasing them but I don't think they are from the quarter speed master.

That's the copy I have and it's 100% a bootleg. The album ends halfway through side 3, and then has the Glider EP tacked on at the end. It's a pretty good sounding copy, but definitely not official

Any time you see the label with a "(2)" after it, that almost always means that someone has added to the unofficial version of the label (there are rare occasions where two record labels will have the same name). So they basically copy the labels and everything to make it look like the real release. These are typically referred to as "counterfeit", while a "bootleg" would be a live recording that wasn't sanctioned by the band/label, but the terms are often used interchangeably. Since vinyl has "come back" this has been going on in full force, especially for releases that haven't been pressed in a while.
