Third time is the charm I guess for me on the new album. Didn't really like what I heard at first but now am digging it.

It grew on me a lot too.

My only real complaints are the buried and or overly effected vocals in places and a few of the breakdown/interlude/bridge parts seem forced.

Listening to the new one for about the fourth time.
At times it's almost scary how much the guitar sounds Marr/Smiths.

It's ok. It's good.
But the one before is still the winner.

Interesting to see people's take on their albums. For me the self titled has some of my all time favs, real stand out songs, but my favs are whats nearest to my heart or I like thematically more so than what I think is the best. Antisocialites is my favorite album overall, every song on that album has its place and they're all amazing.

Blue Rev I've listened to twice now and it just seems like I get mind fuzz. I love Very Online Guy and After the Earthquake, but I don't really like Pharmacist at all. Every other song I can barely remember. Maybe I need to sit down and listen to it instead of playing it in the car (My speakers aren't good by any measure). I wouldn't say I dislike the album, I just can't seem to catch the groove I did for the first two.

If you like the other albums I definitely recommend giving it some more listens.

14 songs in under 39 minutes is a lot to take in. I feel like different songs click for me every time.

I don’t think close listening is really the way in to this one.

It fell out of my rotation fairly quickly. Too many bloody albums coming out right now.

I’ll give it another spin this evening

Blue Rev had been a slow burn for me, but I’m now pretty obsessed. Some random thoughts:
- I’m bummed that I couldn’t see them when they came to play in DC a little while back.
-“Easy on Your Own” is heartbreaking and beautiful and easily one of their very best!
-Molly’s voice has never sounded better.
-As always, I’m loving the lyrics and Blue Rev beats repeated listens for this alone.

Wait i know that beat up bass but did they lose/change their bassist or did he ...ahem... transition? :derp:

Black jags with white guards are just 120% classy. Need.

Different bass player.

I think the bass playing on the new stuff suits the material well, but overall I like the old bassist’s style a bit better.

I was late listening, but I really like this new record.
