I was talking today to an old friend who introduced me to U2’s stuff back in about 1985 (and a LOT of other great shit around that time), and I decided to listen to this again:



U2 - The Joshua Tree

This is such an incredible record. I was mostly okay with their previous stuff but didn’t like the album after this, and I, like many, have tended to increasingly cast derision upon them since about that time, and for so many reasons. But this album is a goddamn triumph. I assume it’s considered their zenith, but I haven’t paid attention to them in decades now.
