I have learned at one point or another throughout my guitar playing life: time, breathe, wish you were here, See Emily play, astronomy domine, comfortably numb, in the flesh, nobody home, Vera, Brain damage, hey you, mother and eclipse That's it, I think...
I like many others but those are the only ones ive learned... I like playing covers.

Brain Damage!! That was it (it’s not called Eclipse).tribi9 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 9:11 pmI have learned at one point or another throughout my guitar playing life: time, breathe, wish you were here, See Emily play, astronomy domine, comfortably numb, in the flesh, nobody home, Vera, Brain damage, hey you, mother and eclipse That's it, I think...

I’ve got a few faves to play - Arnold Layne, Paintbox, Echoes, Breathe. Pigs On The Wing (pt 1 or 2). Welcome To The Machine is particularly nice, using lots of droning, open chords.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I used to play "Fearless". I think that's a great song.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

I have some sort of weird obsession when it comes to playing covers. I try to learn songs almost always, note by note, both lead and rythm parts, bass too actually.PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 4:14 am

Maybe im just a copycat guitar player and not a true musician.

I wish I could do that. I always get bored after approximating the chords/lead lines. Now that I’m older I find I have even less patience to learn whole songs. So I tend to learn riffs, then forget them. But somehow that has helped with my songwriting, if not ability. Just makes practice boring as I can never think of stuff to noodle about with.tribi9 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 10:46 amI have some sort of weird obsession when it comes to playing covers. I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?
